ADD ON QUOTES FROM WEEK TWO SEGMENT:

"I decide to enroll at Walden for its accreditation and global presence."

"I transferred to Walden because it has reptutation for cultivating successful graduates."

QUOTES OF FROEBEL AND MONTESSORI

FRIEDRICH FROEBEL
Children are like tiny flowers; they are varied and need care, but each is beautiful alone and glorious when seen in the community of peers.

To learn a thing in life and through doing is much more developing, cultivating, and strengthening than to learn it merely through the verbal communication of ideas.

The Education of Man (1826)- "To learn a thing in life and through doing is much more developing, cultivating, and strengthening than to learn it merely through the verbal communication of ideas."

"Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child's soul."

MARIA MONTESSORI:
The first idea the child must acquire is that of the difference between and evil.

Free the child's potential, and you will transform him into the world.

The greatest sign of success for a teacher...is to be able to say, 'The children are now working as if I did not exist.'

PASSION QUOTE:
Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.

MOTIVATION QUOTE:

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.
Jim Rohn

WISDOM QUOTE:
For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

PERSONAL CHILDHOOD WEB

MY FATHER:
The most important person that had a part of nurturing me in my early childhood was my father. He was affliction, caring, warm, believe in me, compassionate, patient, humorous, thoughtful, consider, supported, and loving. He always believed in me even though I was an average person in his eyesight and despite my obstacles I could become whatever I wanted in life. I reflect once wanting to be in a talent show and thought I could not walk down the runway with confidence and pretty enough, but my father as usually had me to put on my outfit and tell me how cute and special I was to him. He always made  me feel like a million dollar and in his eyesight I was the most beautiful little girl in the world. To him I was his little princess! Through all my ups and downs my daddy was my biggest cheerleader!!!

MY BROTHER:
The second person that helped nurtured me was my brother. He always believed I could accomplished whatever I dreamed. Carlton was considered, caring, thoughtful, loving, and uplifting. He wanted and believed that my sisters and I could become professionals just as he. He always thought  we had the capability like our parents and could overcome all obstacles that faces us on a daily basic.

MY MOTHER:
When I reflect on my mother contributes to my growth as a child I know her as the most unselfish person I have ever met. She sacrificed her career, happiness, and personal belief to make sure all her children felt special and they were the flavor child of them all. She always made sure I had what I needed even if that meant she lack something herself.

MY UNCLE TOMMY:
There was my Uncle Tommy who I remembered him as the "Piggy Bank" because of his caring and concern spirit what you had learned and achieved in school. He was the type of uncle that gave out money for every grade on your report card except a F. For all grades there were a price tag as following: A= $5.00, B=$3.00, C=$1.00, and D$.50 Cents. How great it was that he even paid you for a D but he had encouraging words to say concerning that "you can do better I know it and the next time I come home I expect more from you".

MY TEACHER MS. MYERS:
I remembered my seventh grade teacher Ms. Myers, encouraging me through constantly remainders saying to me you are just as smart as your older sister and brother. Diane, you can make A's like Cathy and Carlton I know you can do it and I expect you to accomplish your goals.

The ways my brother and father are still influences my life is echoing in my hears with thoughts of their memories speaking in my heart by telling me you can do and achieve what you put your mind to with full force. And lastly my uncle and Ms. Myers influences still with me by believing I can continue to strive for the things I want to accomplish in my personal life even though I am in my 50’s by completing my master in this program regardless what obstacles I may face.

FAVORITE STORY AND MEMORY

MY FAVORITE CHILDREN BOOK AND MEMORY
Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?
By Eric Carle

The reason I love this story it teaches early childhood children the different colors, color words, easy to remember the story, and retell the story. Also the pictures are large and exciting.

MEMORY MOMENT

The most memory moment I have had as a teacher is when I taught a boy that was down syndrome at the age 15. I recall his first expression when he first learned how to print his first name. The expression was exciting, moving, and self-rewarding for he and I. Also he laid his head on my shoulder and hugged my neck as tight as he could. At that particular moment he was as proud as he could every be. He even went around showing every child in the classroom and even in the hallway as he changed classes the most remarkable thing is had accomplish as simple as writing his first name on a piece of paper. To him it was his first paper check!!!

Some of favorite Education Quotes:

"Patience is a necessary ingredient of genius".
Benjamin Disraeli

"That the brain learn to read at all attests to its remarkable ability to sift through seemingly confusing input and establish patterns and systems. For a few children, this process comes naturally; most have to be taught."David Sousa

“The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.” B.B. King

Passion, Motivation, and Wisdom That I Treasure As A Early Childhood Teacher and Student!!!

"In early childhood you may lay the foundation of poverty or riches, industry of idleness, good or evil, by the habits to which you train your children. Teach them right habits then, and their future life is safe.”
- Lydia Sigourney
"Experts tell us that 90% of all brain development occurs by the age of five. If we don't begin thinking about education in the early years, our children are at risk of falling behind by the time they start Kindergarten."
- Robert. L. Ehrlich
"Free the child's potential, and you will transform him into the world."
- Maria Montessori
"If you're going to equalize the academic playing field, you've got to get the kids in early childhood programs."
- Paul Vallas quotes
"Laurence Houseman once said, 'A saint is one who makes goodness attractive.' Surely, a great teacher does the same thing for education."
"I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think."

This is a total new adventure for me in blogging through education but believing I will sail through this with waving success. I believe pursing my master in education with Walden University will open many new doors for me throughout my community, my city, my state, and global.
